GLOW still developing

The Scottish schools’ network, called “GLOW“, has been developing over a few years, and has had its fair share of lovaytly and criticism.  I’ve just been reading John Connel’s account of the recent newspaper coverage, and was surprised to see so much strong feeling expressed not just by John but also by the people quoted in the news article. I don’t know enough about GLOW yet to be able to comment on which aspects are working or not, but I’m curious that it seems to be causing such heated debate. That in itself is worthwhile …

If you’re thinking of developing an education intranet, it would be really good to have a look at what GLOW is doing, and what lessons can be learned from the process. There’s always a risk in being the first to develop something.
